The idea for Good Nordic Design actually came from friends living abroad who just love Nordic design. Where can I find Nordic designs on the internet? Well you can't. It's very hard to find nordic design products using Google - you will have to search for a very long time if you don't know the designer, the company and what about the name of the product! The Nordic countries are worldwide famous for design, but mainly from well known designers from the fifties, sixties and seventies. Think Arne Jacobsen, Jørgen Utzon, Verner Panton or Alvar Aalto. But what is Nordic design today. The Good Nordic Design Portal contains both famous and new designs. From well known designers to new designer, from small to big companies and brands in the most common design categories and products. But we go one step further. When you have found your favorite Nordic design object you might like to know how much it cost or where to buy it. The Good Nordic Design Portal provides you with information on retailers and webshops. Be inspired by Nordic designs from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden, Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland.
